Adenomatoid Malformation of Lung
Etiology:

Congenital.
Pathogenesis:

Abnormal bronchiolar division resulting in cyst formation.
Epidemiology:

Rare congenital anomaly
Type 2 may be associated with other malformations.
General Gross Description:

Three major patterns including I (large cysts), II (multiple small-medium cysts), III (massive area of small cysts)
General Microscopic Description:

Type 1 generally lined by ciliated epithelium.
Type 2 and 3 lined by bronchiolar type epithelium
Clinical Correlations:

Present in post-natal period with respiratory distress.
Patients with type 2 lesion may have symptoms from other malformations.
