| General Gross Description: • Well circumscribed, homogeneous gray-tan lesions attached to peripheral nerve |
| General Microscopic Description: • Composed of cells with delicate, elongated, wavy nuclei with pointed tips • Cytoplasm is palely eosinophilic • Regions of the neoplasm may exhibit lining up of the nuclei into bands of nuclei alternating with cytoplasm (Antoni A); cytoplasmic areas are termed Verocay bodies • Antoni B regions lack definite arrangement and may have microcysts |
