Proliferation of Schwann cells
Epidemiology:

Exceedingly rare
General Gross Description:

Well circumscribed, homogeneous gray-tan lesions attached to peripheral nerve
General Microscopic Description:

Composed of cells with delicate, elongated, wavy nuclei with pointed tips
Cytoplasm is palely eosinophilic
Regions of the neoplasm may exhibit lining up of the nuclei into bands of nuclei alternating with cytoplasm (Antoni A); cytoplasmic areas are termed Verocay bodies
Antoni B regions lack definite arrangement and may have microcysts
