Emphysema

Emphysema • Section of lung which has been fixed by formalin inflation. • (U)pper and (L)ower lobes are identified. • White arrows point to a few of many dilated airspaces most of which are located in the upper portions of both lobes. • The posterior lower portion of the lower lobe shows intense reddish congestion (black arrow).
