Pulmonary Embolus
Pulmonary Embolus

This lung has been opened in the fresh state along the vascular tree.
A large segmental pulmonary artery is filled with thrombus (white arrows).
Although the lung served by this vessel (to the right of the arrows) is congested, there is no evidence of infarct.
