A high power view of a concentric arrangement typical of a Hassels corpuscle, towards the top left of this image:
The demarcation between the cortex and medulla runs in a curve line extending from the top right corner to approximately the middle of the lower border of this specimen.
The indistinct cells that lie just to the medullary side of this demarcation are the thymic epithelial cells which are loosely packed in the medullary region.
