Normal Thymus
Normal Thymus

A medium-high power view of a single lobe of a normal thymus.
At this power, the organization of the thymus into a deeper staining cortex and a more likely staining medulla is more clear.
Slightly to the right of the center is a dark staining, apparently whorled structure can be seen.
This represents a Hassels corpuscle, a structure that is present in the medulla of a thymus.
