Ductal Carcinoma in situ (Low Power)

• This shows a very large duct containing scant eosinophilic debirs.
• The lining cells show occasional tiny micropapillations (arrows).
• At this power the nuclei can be seen hanging into the lumen, when they should be at the basement membrane side of the epithelium.
• The diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ cannot be made at this magnification.
