•The kidney has been bivalved to show the cut surface of a large spherical tumor involving the upper pole (arrowheads).
•The tumor has sharply defined borders and show a variegated cut surface. Areas of grossly viable tumor (v) are seen with areas of necrosis (n) and hemorrhage (h).
