| View of superior surfaces of transverse sections with
the anterior surfaces facing towards the left.
There is a marked predominantly LV hypertrophy.
Note the extenstve fibrous grey white scarring of the
inner layers of the anterior and posterior LV walls.
Note the discrete area of dark red discoloration
(black arrows) in the mid IV septum in contrast to the
scars in the anterior wall (white arrows).
The septal lesion is an acute hemorrhagic infarct, a
variant due to a better than usual collateral circulatuion.
