| Bicuspid Aortic Valve with vegetations
| View of a bicuspid aortic valve, with the undersurface
of the anterior mitral leaflet below it and to the right.
The intact cusp in the center is the non-coronary cusp.
The abnormal cusp has been cut through with a small
portion showing on the right, and the rest appearing on
the left (2 arrows). Note the apparent division of this
cusp into two cusps separated by a fused commissure,
which is a typical feature of the anomaly, not acquired.
The fine excresences on the anomalous cusp edges are
vegetations of IE, maybe not seen on echocardiogram.
