Subacute Bacterial Endocarditis SBE with perforation of aortic cusp

View of aortic valve. Note the black thick line extending from above down from the top edge of the image to the bottom, just to your left of the midline of the image. This is a probe passing through a hidden perforation of the non-coronary cusp of the valve. Perforation is hidden by a red coarsely granular vegetation on the valve cusp, which extends across the probe. The portion of the adjoining cusp on your right is the left coronary cusp with a portion of the anterior mitral valve leaflet just below it.
