| Metastatic adenocarcinoma to cerebrum
| This is a coronal section of the cerebral hemispheres
through the thalamus.
Note the two discrete dark nodules, one in the thalamus
and one in the putamen and globus pallidus. These
represent metastases.
The black coloration of the lesions suggest they come
from a malignant melanoma, but only microscopic
examination will tell for sure.
