| Exterior surface of an osteochondroma
| This is the exterior (uncut) surface
of an osteochondroma.
The surface looks shiny and glistening
because the tumor is composed, on the
outside, of cartilage.
In this uncut surface, we are looking at the
cartilagenous surface.
Note the furrows that create the
bosselated appearance.
This is
typical of an osteochondroma.
