Exterior and cut surfaces of an osteochondroma

The image is of two surfaces of an osteochondroma.
To the left is the exterior surface; to the right is the cut surface.
The tumor manifests two components.
The whiter part (best seen on the cut surface (white arrow) is the cartilagenous "cap".
The darker portion is the bone with marrow spaces, accounting for the dark red-brown color.
