Ductal Carcinoma in situ (Low Power)
Ductal Carcinoma in situ (Low Power)

This shows a very large duct containing scant eosinophilic debirs.
The lining cells show occasional tiny micropapillations (arrows).
At this power the nuclei can be seen hanging into the lumen, when they should be at the basement membrane side of the epithelium.
The diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ cannot be made at this magnification.
