Intraductal Hyperplasia (Medium Power) • This is a medium power view of many ducts containing increased numbers of cells. • The cellular proliferation is contained within the preexisting ductal basement membrane. • The lumens are almost completely filled with cells. • At this power the lack of necrosis and the presence of slit-like lumens support a diagnosis of hyperplasia over intraductal carcinoma.
