Abscess Cavity of Lung (Aspergillus) • This is photograph of a lung sectioned fresh at the time of autopsy. • The parenchyma is red and congested. • The arrow points to a cystic lesion that contained necrotic debris. • The lesion did not exhibit the hemorrhagic necrosis often seen with aspergillus invasion of pulmonary fessels.
