General Gross Description
• Bluish red mass
• Spongy, soft, may be pulsatile in situ
|
General Microscopic Description
• Mass of blood vessels which may be capillary, arterial, venous or
vessels with characteristics of both arteries and veins
• Thrombosis and recanalization may be present
|
Clinical Correlation
• Discovered incidentally or when spontaneously rupture resulting in
hemorrhage
• Curable with resection or embolization
