Sarcoid Granuloma (20X) • This intermediate power image shows almost an entire granuloma. • The yellow arrows point to the lymphocytes which encircle and "wall off" the central portion of the lesion. • The center contains several multinucleated giant cells (blue arrow) as well as numerous mononuclear macrophages. • Necrosis is not seen in the center.
