Alveolar Macrophage with Hemosiderin Deposition (40X)

The arrow highlights an intrapulmonary macrophage.
The nucleus is dark and hyperchromatic.
The cytoplasm which is somewhat foamy contains dark granular material consistent with hemosiderin.
This is clearly one of several macrophages in the alveolus.
