Normal Chorionic Plate (Low Power)
Normal Chorionic Plate (Low Power)
• This low power view allows orientation to the chorionic plate (cp). • The chorionic plate is covered by a layer of amnion and is composed of mesoderm containing fetal vessels. • Beneath the chorionic plate is usually a layer of subchorionic fibrin and villi. • The intervillus space (IVS) between the villi is filled with maternal blood in vivo.
