| The arrow points to an example of a hob-nail cell.
This cell is a feature of clear cell carcinoma.
The nucleus, instead of being basal, appears to stand on a narrow stalk of cytoplasm resembling a large headed hobnail.
The nucleus hangs into the lumen.
