| Arterial Fibrinoid Necrosis in Placenta
| Two decidual vessels are present in the basal decidua
attached to the placenta.
Both vessels show extensive fibrinoid necrosis of their
walls (arrows).
Such vessels are extremely vulnerable to rupture; hemorrhage
is present just above them in the placenta (blue arrows).
