Normal histology of fetal renal cortex.
The periphery of the kidney is on the left and the deeper portion is on the right.
The peripheral cortex shows nephrogenesis. Embryonal tubular and glomerular structures can be appreciated.
The glomeruli and tubules to the right are more mature and formed.
