| Mucus producing glands are separated by a small amount
of
lamina propria with only occasional chronic inflammatory
cells present
Note the inconspicuous nature of the glandular epithelial
nuclei
Parietal cells with centrally placed nuclei and eosinophilic
cytoplasm begin to be seen as the junction with the fundus
is approached
