Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Cut surface of a liver with a large focus of primary hepatocellular carcinoma.
The lesion at the center represents the primary tumor
A satellite nodule can be seen towards the right and above the primary nodule.
Notice that in contrast to the normal reddish chocolate color of liver, the hepatocellular carcinoma is tan-gray, and does not manifest the normal coloration.
This particular tumor appears not to be sufficiently differentiated to manifest bile staining.
