A medium-high power view of a thyroid exhibiting hyperactivity.
Notice the tall columnar cells lining the acini.
The colloid is not abundant and tends to be somewhat lighter staining than colloid in the normal thyroid.
In addition, to the right and above the centrally located green arrow, notice the typical scalloped appearance of the colloid, typical of thyrotoxicosis.
