Note: The uniform smooth glistening intimal surface; The
longitudinal evenly spaced rows of intercostal artery ostia
along the upper and lower cut edges of the thoracic aorta,
which appear as faint dots; the upper abdominal aorta marked
by the two prominent ostia of the celiac and superior
mesenteric arteries (yellow arrow), below which are the barely
visible ostia of the renal arteries on the cut edges.
