| Healing Myocardial Infarct
| This is a field of infarcted myocardium, almost all
replaced by granulation tissue.
A few muscle fibers can be seen in the right upper and left lower
corners.
Note the prominent neovascular channels, some
distended with blood.
Fibroblasts, collagen fibrils, and macrophages make up the rest of the tissue.
