Normal Artery •Note the 3 layers of the wall, from the inside out. •The intima is limited by the internal elastic lamina, the distinct pink uniformly wavy membrane. •The intima lies to the luminal side of this membrane. •The next thick layer is the media •The adventitia lies external to the media. •Adventitias are usually thinner, but this tissue is probably from a baby.
