Arnold Chiari Malformation

The specimen consists of part of the brainstem and the spinal cord with cerebellar tonsil extending along the cervical cord.
The Arnold Chiari malformation is due to a shift of inferior cerebellum and spinal cord through the foramen Magnum.
It is often associated with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
