Intracerebral hemorrhage

Coronal sections of brain show a large hemorrhage involving the basal ganglia and thalamus.
Hemorrhages are often related to hypertension.
Eighty percent occur in the basal ganglia, 10% in the cerebellum and 10% in the pons.
