| Caudate nucleus Infarct
| The specimen consists of a coronal section of the brain
through the caudate nucleus and putamen and frontal
lobes.
There is an indentation in the caudate nucleus on the
right representing an old infarct due to atherosclerosis
of small striate arteries.
