Meningioma
Meningioma

A low power photomicrograph of the meningioma showing plump spindle cells with slightly pleomorphic nuclei which tend to stream and whorl.
These tumors are for the most part benign.
Only when there a large number of mitoses, necrosis and invasion of the brain tissue itself can they be considered malignant.
