Normal Bone
Normal Bone

A low power view of normal bone.
At this power, the only structures that can be clearly visualized are the large empty-looking spaces that represent the Haversian canals (black arrows).
Haversian canals form the central core around which concentric lamellae of bone are laid down by osteocytes.
